Use the date and time in Nassau
The Bahamas follows Eastern time and daylight saving. An international contact number does not tell you the dispatcher’s or hotel’s time zone. Put the local pickup date and time in writing, especially around midnight, daylight-saving changes and overnight itineraries.
Confirm that an early vehicle is reserved
Ask the provider to confirm early service, the vehicle, receiving lobby or gate, contact number and any out-of-hours charge. A message requesting a time is not a confirmed driver assignment. If you cannot obtain written confirmation, resolve the alternative with the hotel before the departure morning.
Work back from airport reporting
Use the airline’s current requirement and LPIA’s international-flight guidance, then add the drive and a road buffer. A hotel five or ten minutes from NAS still needs an airport arrival margin. For a U.S.-bound flight, preclearance is part of the departure process.
Prepare the hotel handover
Complete check-out arrangements and arrange key return with the property. For a gated residence, confirm that a vehicle can enter or that you can reach the agreed permitted meeting point. Have all passengers and luggage ready before departure so loading does not consume the planned traffic margin.
