Bahamas Digital Arrival Card: What to Prepare Before Your Nassau Airport Pickup

Arrival paperwork and an airport car need separate confirmations. Prepare your passenger, flight and accommodation details before travelling to Nassau.

Check the current arrival instructions before flying

For an international arrival at Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), prepare entry paperwork and your road pickup as separate tasks. The government Bahamas Digital Arrival Card portal currently tells visitors to complete a card. Check the current official instructions and those of your operating airline for your actual journey before departure. A transfer request does not submit an arrival declaration, and completing an official form does not arrange a car to your hotel. This guide explains how to prepare; it does not collect or process entry documents.

Distinguish today's instructions from older rollout information

The Ministry of Tourism's announcement dated 5 May 2026 described a Digital Arrival Card pilot for selected flights, with paper procedures continuing alongside it. That announcement records the launch phase; it does not by itself establish today's instructions for every traveller. You may also encounter Exempt and Customs Form C17 terminology. Follow the current official workflow and the operating airline's instructions rather than assuming that older descriptions, another traveller's experience or an app screen apply unchanged to you. Resolve conflicting instructions with the responsible official service or airline. This article does not establish a universal submission deadline or a promise that paper forms will be accepted.

Prepare the information requested by the applicable form

Have access to the email account used for the process and prepare accurate passenger, flight and accommodation information. The current portal includes email verification and fields for the stay's location and dates. Use your actual reservation details when completing the official form. For a family, follow the portal's current definition and passenger instructions; do not assume that any group of friends or wedding guests belongs on one declaration. Use the form's guidance for special circumstances. An accommodation name on a declaration is information for that process, not confirmation of a room or permission for a car to enter a private property.

Keep your arrival confirmation separate from your car booking

Keep official arrival correspondence with your travel documents and the accepted road booking with its own provider contact. These records serve different purposes. A Digital Arrival Card or C17 submission is not a visa, an entry decision or a vehicle reservation. NAS Airport Transfer is independent of the airport, border authorities and the arrival system. Do not send passport scans, declaration QR codes, email verification codes or account credentials to a driver as a substitute for completing the responsible service's process.

Check details and retain the confirmation

Review names and document details carefully before submitting through the official service, including any information extracted from an uploaded document. Exempt's web-form help describes accessing the entry QR code from the confirmation email. Keep the relevant confirmation accessible when travelling, following the service's current instructions. A saved confirmation does not remove the need to present required documents or follow officials' directions. If a submission is missing or contains an error, use the responsible service's support instructions. Do not assume that a completed declaration can always be edited, that another submission is the correct remedy or that a QR code guarantees a faster queue.

Confirm the pickup independently

For the road journey, identify the operating flight arriving at NAS, the Nassau local date, exact hotel or residence, passengers and luggage. The accepted transfer arrangements should establish the vehicle, complete fare, meeting instructions and relevant waiting terms. An arrival form does not supply those agreements. Likewise, a car confirmation does not complete your entry requirements. If staying at Atlantis, identify the actual accommodation; at Baha Mar, identify Grand Hyatt, SLS or Rosewood. Use the actual property and receiving entrance rather than expecting a broad resort name or a declaration address to resolve the road handover automatically.

Plan your Nassau Airport pickup

Update the provider if arrival takes longer

Landing time is not the moment you are ready to leave NAS by car. Complete the applicable formalities, collect your baggage and follow the meeting procedure issued for your journey. No fixed immigration, customs or document-check duration is established here. Preparing paperwork can remove an avoidable task, but it does not guarantee a particular terminal exit time. Ask your provider before travel when included waiting begins and which delays require a message or a revised arrangement.

Report the delay and follow the agreed meeting instructions

If a document query or another arrival issue delays you, tell the confirmed provider your booking name, flight and situation when you can. Ask whether the original pickup remains available and obtain updated instructions where needed. A driver cannot override officials or resolve permission to enter the country. Avoid moving to a different terminal or paying for another ride on an unverified person's instructions. Keep the provider's confirmed contact and meeting directions accessible offline. If your flight or arrival date changes, ask for explicit reconfirmation rather than assuming the car follows every change automatically.

Use a short arrival checklist

Before departure, check the applicable official and airline instructions, prepare the requested information, review the submission and retain its confirmation. Separately, verify the accepted road journey, receiving address, passengers, luggage, contact and waiting terms. After landing, complete the required procedures and update the provider if the handover changes. Share only what each responsible party needs: the road provider needs journey details, while entry documents belong with the official process and other authorised parties that require them. This separation makes it easier to identify who can resolve a problem without confusing a declaration, an airline check and a car reservation.

Digital Arrival Card and airport pickup questions

Does my arrival QR code also confirm my airport transfer?

No. The official arrival process and a road booking serve different purposes. A QR code does not reserve a car, confirm a meeting point or decide permission to enter the Bahamas. Arrange the road journey separately and follow the responsible authorities' instructions.

What if older guidance differs from the current arrival instructions?

Check the date and scope of the guidance. The May 2026 announcement describes a pilot, while the current portal provides today's published instructions. Confirm what applies to your journey with the responsible official service and operating airline; do not rely on this article to resolve an individual entry case.

Use the pickup guide to prepare your flight, destination, passenger and luggage details separately from the official arrival paperwork. Our operations will start in January 2027; booking and WhatsApp contact are currently paused. For an existing car reservation, contact the provider responsible for that journey directly.
