Nassau transfer payments, currency, tolls and tipping

Our estimates are in U.S. dollars

The site labels planning amounts USD per vehicle. LPIA notes that U.S. currency is widely accepted in Nassau. Ask the actual provider which currency and payment methods it accepts, whether a card surcharge applies and how change is handled. Do not assume a driver accepts cards because a hotel does.

Get a complete total

The written fare should state taxes, airport charges, bridge tolls, included luggage, stops and waiting. The airport taxi table has its own passenger and luggage supplements, which should not be confused with a private-car estimate. Confirm the whole party’s amount before boarding or making a payment.

Paradise Island bridge charges

The LPIA taxi page lists a bridge-toll addition for Paradise Island. Ask whether your provider’s quoted arrival fare includes it and how the return is priced. Our public estimates are planning baselines and do not promise that a toll or any other charge has already been included by the assigned supplier.

Gratuities and receipts

Ask whether service or gratuity is included before deciding on an additional tip. Request a receipt that identifies the provider, journey, currency and payment. Never send payment-card details or passport images in the ordinary enquiry notes; use the provider’s agreed secure payment process after reviewing the quote.

Airport and hotel sources establish published facilities and geography. Booking checklists are our editorial advice. Confirm trip-specific instructions, supplier terms and changing schedules with the actual provider.
